FHKI Group 25 (Hong Kong Information Technology Industry Council, HKITIC) ) successfully organised the "AI Opportunities Under Digital Policy Workshop cum Annual Members Gathering" on 15 April. Sponsored by China CITIC Bank International, the event attracted nearly 100 members and featured a vibrant atmosphere of industry exchange.

We were honored to have Mr Daniel Cheung, JP, Acting Commissioner for Digital Policy, as our Guest of Honour to deliver the opening remarks. Mr Ricky Chan, FHKI Executive Deputy Chairman, delivered the welcoming remarks, while Mr Peter Shum, FHKI Deputy Chairman and Chairman of Group 25, introduced the Council’s latest initiatives and progress. FHKI Deputy Chairmen Mr Gary Lau and Dr Alfred Ng, along with Director-General Ms Bonnie Chan, also attended to support the event and engage with members.

The seminar featured two heavyweight speakers who shared profound insights into the development of AI applications and digital policies:

.Dr Sara Huang, Chief Operating Officer, Hong Kong Generative AI Research and Development Center (HKGAI)

The Workshop explored the latest developments and policies regarding "Digital Corporate Identity," analysing how the digital government framework creates a more convenient and secure business environment for enterprises and also provided an in-depth analysis of the current status and future trends of Generative AI in Hong Kong, sharing forward-looking research findings and industry application scenarios. During the networking session, members gathered to engage in deep discussions with the guest speakers and explore business opportunities with industry partners.
